Taiko Lab

Rediscover Your Energy with TaikoLab

Welcome to Taiko Drumming! A Full-Body Musical Experience.

Taiko is more than just music. It has been used throughout history in Japan as a powerful way to bring people together. It’s movement, rhythm, and raw energy, a deeply immersive experience that shakes off stress and lights you up from the inside out.

Why Taiko?

Taiko has the advantage, when compared to other instruments, that it doesn`t require intensive training and preparation to be played and enjoyed: being exposed to the heartbeat while in our mother`s womb, we all know what rhythm is and we can quickly replicate it.

If you feel like you don’t have time to learn something new, Taiko might be exactly what you need. With just one hour a week, even from your very first session, you’ll feel energized, uplifted, and fully present.

TaikoLab Drop-in sessions

This class is open to all levels, and no matter where you are in your Taiko learning journey, the session is always adapted to make it interesting for everyone. 🙂
In Taiko Lab, we work on posture, coordination, and expression while exploring the power of group drumming. Each session includes elements from existing Battiti songs and new rhythmic exercises designed to improve speed, control, and dynamics.
When they take place? on Wednesday at 20.40 and on Saturday at 10.20.
If it’s your first time, please arrive 10 minutes before the class starts. I’ll show you how to hold the bachi (Japanese drumsticks) and how to stand in front of the taiko. I’ll contact you one day before the session to go over the logistic.
Whether you’re new to music or just looking for something energizing and different, this class offers a safe and fun space to start your Taiko journey.
